The Technology

 

Far Infrared Light

This is light that is lower frequency than visible light on the elctro-magnetic spectrum. It penetrates several inches into most objects, transferring heat very efficiently. Its a type of heat but the most penetrating kind with wavelengths that have healing properties. In fact, heat transferred merely by conduction (a.k.a. contact) or convection (a.k.a air flow) does not heat an object deeply, or evenly throughout whereas the Biomat technology does. In addition, the thermotherapy that the Biomat provides allows for increased metabolism. Negative Ions

These are particles in the air that have an extra electron & thus a negative charge. Amethyst

The Biomat uses amethyst crystals because they efficiently convert heat energy into far infrared light very efficiently due to its crystalline structure & specific vibrational frequency. In addition, they help to amplify the far infrared energy. When heated, amethyst has been shown to emit energy at 8 & 12 microns of wavelength. Far infrared energy penetrates deeply into tissues, increases circulation and metabolism, and is known to relieves pain. Tourmaline

New Tourmaline “Toca Catch Power” Layer…this new top layer refers to a special ionized fabric, which is powered tourmaline along with chrome and 20 other minerals infused in the fabric! It produces 1500 ions per cubic centimeter. This is combined with the ions produced electronically through additional layers in the BioMat, which output 300 ions per cubic centimeter. The total combined Ion output is now 1800 ions per cubic centimeter for a better full body treatment.

 

BioClay 

A material that has been added to the cotton pad that goes with the BioMat, helping to create a gentler, more comfortable far infrared experience.  The cotton pad is now a different color due to the addition of the BioClay, but it remains a washable item.
